1. Who can purchase refrigerant?
Federal Law provides that ONLY the following can purchase refrigerants.
- Certified Refrigerant Technicians approved by the E.P.A. under Section 608 of the Clean Air Act.

Purchasers of refrigerant for resale to a Certified Refrigerant Technician.

Automotive Certified Refrigerant Technicians approved by the E.P.A. under Section 609 of the Clean Air Act (R-12 only).

2. Do all purchasers need to be licensed?
No, purchasers of R-134a, R-410A, R-404A and refrigerant supplies do not need a license.
However purchasers in Wisconsin must have a license or re-sell certificate to purchase any refrigerant and may not purchase containers smaller than 15 pounds even with a license.

3. Why do I need to send in a copy of my license?
The EPA requires us to keep a copy of your license on file.
We will NOT ship your order without receiving a copy. You cannot just give us your license numbers.

4. I already faxed you my license, why did I get another email requesting a copy?
Our system automatically sends you an email requesting a copy of your license when you place an order stating you are a Certified Technician or Wholesaler.
If you have already sent in your license or are making a purchase that does not require a license, please select the third option. Otherwise you will get this email.

5. Why do I have to fax you a copy of my license if I gave you my license numbers?
We are required by the EPA to keep a file with your license. We will not ship your order without receiving a copy of your license.

6. How much is shipping? What about tax?
Shipping is INCLUDED in all of our prices. We do not add tax or shipping.
The price listed is the total you will pay. There are no additions.

7. How will I know if my order was shipped?
As soon as we get tracking numbers they will be emailed to you. If you do not put in your email address you will have to call in.

8. What are your hours?
8 AM to 5 PM Central Standard Time Monday through Friday. You can order 24 hours per day online.

9. Are freight charges extra?
No, all prices include freight and shipping within the continental USA.

10. How long will it take to receive my order?
Shipping can take between 7-10 business days.
If your purchase requires a license, it will be 7-10 days from the day we get a copy of your license along with the signature form.

11. What if I did not receive tracking numbers?
Some of our products are sent USPS. We will still send you an email saying your order has been shipped.

12. What if I cancel my order?
There is a $50 or 35% of the purchase amount (whichever is larger) restocking charge for all orders that are cancelled. In addition, if the shipment is en route, freight charges will be added.

13. Is a signature required for my delivery?
Yes, if you are purchasing refrigerant, a signature is required since the product is considered Haz-Mat.

14. What is the procedure if I receive damaged or defective products?
If your shipment is visibly damaged please refuse the delivery and contact Coolgas immediately.
If after receiving your shipment you find that a product is defective please contact Coolgas immediately.
In both instances Coolgas will need the defective and/or damaged product back for inspection and may then issue a replacement order.
